Levante means "the rising" — the direction of the sunrise and the warm eastern wind of the Mediterranean.
It's the spirit we cook with: bright, generous, and full of light — Italian tradition with Mediterranean soul, framed by the olive branch and tricolore of our crest.
We believe great food is simple food done well: pasta made by hand, vegetables at their peak, and meats and seafood cooked over a live fire. We blend Italian tradition with the wider Mediterranean table — Greece, the Levant, North Africa, and southern Italy — for a menu that's fresh, flavorful, and meant to be shared.
Nearly everything is made in house, from the morning's pasta to our sauces, dressings, and flatbread. We source locally and regionally whenever we can, because the best Mediterranean cooking starts with the best ingredients.
We're proud to be part of Abingdon's celebrated food scene — a town named the "Best Small Town Food Scene in the Country" two years running. You'll find us in historic downtown, just steps from the Barter Theatre and minutes from the start of the Virginia Creeper Trail.
